Honorary Doctorate & Professor Title
Dr. [Your Name].
The Title You Have
Earned — Formally Conferred.
An Honorary Doctorate or Professorship — conferred upon leaders whose lifetime professional contribution qualifies them for institutional academic recognition.
Your achievements are real. Your contributions are documented. Your impact on your field, your community, and society is undeniable. The only thing missing is the formal, institutional recognition that the academic world confers upon extraordinary leaders — a recognition that follows your name permanently, in every room you walk into, for the rest of your professional life.
What is an Honorary
Doctorate or Professorship?
An honorary academic title — Honoris Causa — is one of the oldest and most respected traditions in institutional academia. For leaders who have achieved what cannot be achieved through a classroom.
An Honorary Doctorate (Honoris Causa) is an academic degree conferred by a university to an individual who has made an extraordinary contribution to their professional field, to society, or to human knowledge — without requiring the traditional academic requirements of matriculation, coursework, or examination.
It is the formal academic world's way of saying: "This person's real-world contribution is equivalent to — and in many cases exceeds — what we could teach in a classroom."
Through UB Authority's partnership with CIAC Global — an international, non-governmental quality assurance body founded in 2009, registered in the United States — qualified professionals are nominated, their dossiers evaluated by an independent board, and where approved, their honorary title is conferred by a partnering international university.
The result: Dr. [Your Name] or Prof. [Your Name] — permanently, formally, institutionally.
Every major university in the world awards honorary titles. Oxford, Harvard, MIT, Yale — they have all conferred honorary doctorates upon leaders who changed their fields. The tradition is not a formality. It is the most meaningful recognition the academic world can give.
For professionals whose careers have been built through the boardroom, the marketplace, the stage, the field, the community — not the library — it is the recognition that formally validates what everyone who has worked with you already knows.
Important Academic Note
Honorary degrees conferred through CIAC Global's partnering universities — including Universidad Azteca (Mexico, SEP-recognised) and the University of Entrepreneurship & Technology — are university own degrees (Grado Propio / título propio) awarded under the university's institutional charter. They recognise exceptional professional contribution at doctoral level. As stated in the Azteca University guidelines: these degrees "may not be considered of the same standing as doctoral degrees earned by the standard academic processes of courses and original research" by all employers, and should be presented as an honorary academic recognition, not as an earned research doctorate. Recipients are advised to use the title transparently in the context of an honorary recognition.
Not Everyone
Will Qualify.
This is not an open application. CIAC Global's review board evaluates each dossier against rigorous eligibility criteria. Submissions that do not meet the threshold are declined at the evaluation stage — before any fee is requested. This protects the academic integrity of the conferment and the standing of every leader who has received it.
You do not pay until you are confirmed eligible. The CIAC Global Board evaluates your dossier first. Only after the board issues a formal Letter of Conferment Eligibility — confirming that your profile meets the academic and professional standards — are you invited to proceed with the administrative processing and evaluation fees. This sequence is non-negotiable and protects the integrity of the process.

The Institutions
Behind Your Title
Your honorary title is not issued by a private company. It is conferred by an internationally recognised academic institution — under that institution's official charter — with CIAC Global as the independent quality assurance intermediary.

Nature of Honorary Degrees: Honorary academic titles conferred through CIAC Global's partnering universities — including Universidad Azteca (Mexico) and the University of Entrepreneurship & Technology — are honorary recognitions, not degrees earned through the standard academic process of coursework, examination, and original research. As stated in Universidad Azteca's official documentation: these degrees "may not be considered of the same standing as doctoral degrees earned by the standard academic processes" by all employers and academic institutions, and "should not be represented as such." Recipients are advised to use their honorary title transparently and to disclose its honorary nature in formal academic or employment contexts where the distinction is relevant.
Universidad Azteca — University Own Degrees (Grado Propio): University Own Degrees awarded by Universidad Azteca are granted under Article 59 of Mexico's General Law of Education as "grado propio" — degrees awarded by the university sui generis under its institutional charter. The honorary areas covered by RVOE (Official Validity of Studies) accreditation are Administration Informatics, Architecture, Business Administration, Education Sciences, International Commerce, Law, Pedagogics, Psychology, and Public Accounting. The honorary doctorate in areas outside RVOE coverage is awarded as a university own degree without RVOE. Universidad Azteca is a private university established in 1984, recognised by the Federal Secretary of Public Education of Mexico (SEP), listed with the International Association of Universities of UNESCO, and accredited by ASIC with Premier University status.
CIAC Global — Independent Status: The Confederation of International Accreditation Commission (CIAC Global) is an international, non-governmental, private, self-financed quality assurance and accrediting body registered as a non-profit organisation in Delaware, USA. CIAC Global is not a government body and does not claim government affiliation. It operates as an independent private-sector quality assurance agency. CIAC Global's evaluation of dossiers and issuance of Letters of Eligibility is an institutional review process, not a government-recognised accreditation in any national regulatory sense.
Usage of Title: Recipients of honorary titles through this programme are advised to use their title in professional and personal contexts as an honorary recognition of career achievement. In formal academic settings, publishing, government applications, or any context where the distinction between an honorary and an earned degree is legally or professionally material, the honorary nature of the title should be disclosed. UB Authority and CIAC Global do not provide legal advice on the use of titles in specific national jurisdictions. Recipients are responsible for ensuring their use of the title complies with the laws and professional standards of their country of residence. All payments are processed as administrative, processing, and evaluation fees — not as academic tuition fees.
